I’ve been following Maya Dekel’s footsteps, since she first graduated back in 2010, and I can still remember how whimsical her Field Rugs, made me feel. Since then, Maya creates the most unique objects while playing with wool, yarn and in between.
In her Home Jewelries aka vases, she gives her own take on the familiar flowers in a vase. In Maya’s vases, the vessel and the flowers become one textile unit. A unit that is beyond perfection!
BTW, I love the fact that she refers her vases as jewelries!!!
