Industrial Design, Israeli Designers studio reish | who is that girl I see

for the record, if you live in israel, there is no way you could escape the world of racheli sharfstein, the force behind studio reish. she is everywhere and anywhere and i must admit that i love witnessing her journey, since i first wrote her name, back in 2010.
for the last couple of years, racheli developed an obsession with the way we all preserve our own reflection and the reflection of our surroundings. or maybe it’s just the way i interpret her work. i should ask her sometime! to make my point, her alice mirrors, happy pie, happy pill, the real pill, tiles capsule, x-birds, marmalade, swing marmalade (which is my personal favorite!) and files of view are just a few of her mirror collections. racheli loves to create while keeping in mind the act of disassembly and assembly of her mirrors. so you can expect lots of parts, a bunch of magnets and a lot of playfulness in front of your reflection. to be honest, i had an urge to write a bunch of posts, when each one is dedicated to a different mirror. but hey, let’s just consider this post as a love letter to all things, especially mirrors, by the mighty miss sharfstein. by the time i write about her again, it will be a full on interview and me picking her brain about all things design, life and reflections.
