Student Break: Neta Tesler | Knot The Knot

Israeli Designers, Student Work, Textile Design Student Break: Neta Tesler | Knot The Knot

I have a strong feeling that the freezing weather (that I wasn’t prepared for) is what is drawing me to Neta Tesler’s textile furniture. These furniture are clearly inspired by the world of seamanship and I’m in love with the playful aspect of these KNOT-N-KNOT knots.
While researching the world of Popeye the Sailor Man, Neta came up with a world of oppositions: hard and soft, hot and cold, high and low, heavy and light, which all came together in her down to earth creations.
I can definitely see a sea of knotted objects in Neta’s future and I’ll get back to you and report on the latest developments.
BTW, Neta is a 2013 graduate of the Textile Design Department at the Shenkar College.
