Ester Klein grew up in a Kibbutz. She is Jewish, Persian, Polish, Heretic and Repentant. Till this day, I remember how overwhelmed I was when I first saw Ester’s pieces of jewelry laying on the big white table. I felt confused and intrigued all at the same time. In her project she tries to cope with it all- “Within the scale between the Kibbutz, secularism and Judaism, what can you change and what can you play with? What remains and what falls apart?” Life in Israel can be confusing from time to time but I guess that’s what makes it so worthwhile.
