Ceramics, Industrial Design, Israeli Designers Raw Edges | Tex-tiled Ceramic


Lately I have an unexplained attraction to textiles. I guess that’s why the minute I stumbled upon TEX, I had to share it with you. But let’s start at the beginning… TEX is a ceramic tile collection inspired by textiles’ textures designed for Mutina by Raw Edges. “The shape of the tile is a simplified enlargement of the basic knitted stitch: when looking carefully into a knitted textile, a repetition of stitches can be seen aligned in symmetric rows next to each other.” Yael and Shay, the two behind Raw Edges, are a big mystery to me since they work their asses off in their London studio and that’s why they don’t have time to be seen online…
