Over the weekend I went to see the documentary Life in Stills by Tamar Tal. “At the age of 96, Miriam Weissenstein never imagined that she would be facing a new chapter in her life. But when The Photo House was destined for demolition, even this opinionated and uncompromising woman knew she needed help.” Everyone who knows how it feels to watch your loved ones grow old will find this piece overwhelming. For me, the special bond between Miriam and her grandson Ben is priceless and a lesson to be learned. I can’t explain all the emotions that ran through me… Tamar, just wanted to say THANK YOU!

I saw this film a few weeks ago. I cried and laughed all the way through it.

Thanks for highlighting this documentary, I’ll definitely check it out. These pictures reminded me of my ayeeyo/grandmother who had a powerful presence in my life and I miss her every day.

Huda,
I’m trying to hold on as much as I can and spend as many moments as I can with my own grandma.
