Industrial Design Guest Break: Vintage Break in Oslo, Norway

I like to explore the hidden jams of Tel Aviv and there is nothing like discovering yet another super yummy bakery or gallery, BUT now that I moved to a whole different place, it’s time to spread my net out and find all the places that I need to know about. That’s when I realized that I should turn to some of my favorite international bloggers and ask them about their favorite local Design Break spots. Should be interesting, right? First in line is Helena Schütz, one of my very first twitterish friends and a super stylish mama, who knows a thing or two about stylish kids and that’s actually what she blogs about. Take it away, Helena!
Hi there, Design Breakers! My name is Helena, a graphic designer, mom to Lykke and wife to Lee and I’m the one behind The Jnr. I’m Swedish and Lee is British and we all live in downtown Oslo, Norway. I write about stylish kids and then some… From kids style, our lifestyle, cool kid magazines and everyday style. You also get to get a glimpse inside our lives in Oslo. I hope you enjoy my Design Break post!

I’m a huge fan of all things vintage, both interior, clothes and other bits and pieces. My all time favorite spot in Oslo is a shop called 13. It’s located outside of town but well worth a trip! The shop is a collective consisting of 3 small companies who have collaborated to create a colorful shop focusing on recycling and re-design. 13 has a great selection of furniture, kids clothing, books, wallpaper and everything else you can imagine. I come here for the ultimate design break and never manage to leave without losing a few hundred kroner.
Don’t miss Helena’s The Jnr.
